Entrepreneurship, Events

On Tuesday, May 9, The Possible Project hosted the 3rd Annual Project Fabulous event. It was a very memorable evening dedicated to celebrating womenentrepreneurship, our community and the next generation of talent. The success of the evening was matched only by the success of our female student entrepreneurs and the debut of FAAMA! The night featured female-run businesses including  BlendedReverie ApparelPuzzles by JaylaIntricate Simplicity, and BijouXYou. Because of the guests, these student businesses made over $500 in sales and made several connections with possible future mentors! The women who participated in Project Fabulous are not only investing in our entrepreneurs, but they are investing in their dreams. Learn more about our young entrepreneurs at The Possible Project here.

Following the Student Business Showcase, the event featured the fashion line of a TPP alumna, Aicha Kaba. FAAMA is a ready to wear fashion line combining modern design with traditional textiles from Africa. For the fashion show, Aicha designed six outfits, modeled by Marian Nakada, Johnson & Johnson Innovation (below), Cissy Young, Russell Reynolds Associates, Belen Carrillo-Rivas, Pfizer, Celeste DiJohnson, Sarepta Therapeutics, Bouchra Benghomari, student at TPP, and Ossy Macary, student at TPP.
