Brenda Cross-Sanchez becomes Possible Project exec for development, communication

101614i-names-Brenda-Cross-SanchezFrom The Possible Project, Sept. 30:The Possible Project, a nonprofit youth entrepreneurship center that teaches high school students how to start and run their own businesses, announced the appointment of Brenda Cross-Sanchez as vice president of development and communication.

“Brenda is an outstanding professional who brings a depth of experience that will complement and enhance The Possible Project’s team,” said Becky Levin, executive director of The Possible Project. “With her experience leading successful fundraising efforts, major gifts initiatives and managing corporate and foundation relations for local academic institutions, Brenda is a welcome addition to the team. Her expertise will help us continue to close the skills and opportunities gap facing our students by providing resources and support that make them more likely to finish high school, complete education and training beyond high school and enter careers that will provide them with a living wage.”

Cross-Sanchez joins The Possible Project from the Wentworth Institute of Technology, a private, co-educational, technical design and engineering college in Boston, where she served as vice president of institutional advancement. Under her direction, Wentworth secured $30 million in private and corporate support, the largest sum in the institution’s history. Before Wentworth, Cross-Sanchez spent 14 years with various financial and educational institutions, including the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she led major gift solicitation, relationship management and portfolio development. Cross-Sanchez holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northeastern University.
