Josh brings 10 plus years of research and evaluation experience to help improve and evaluate TPP programming. Prior to TPP, Josh was a senior researcher at Mathematica Policy Research, where he directed and contributed to experimental, quasi-experimental, and qualitative analyses of educational programs and practices. He also helped synthesize and make rigorous research accessible to educators and policymakers for the U.S. Department of Education’s What Works Clearinghouse. A former high school teacher, Josh received his Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. In his spare time, Josh plays basketball, thinks about how to design rigorous studies to answer trivial questions, and tries to visit India.
